Old Fashioned Comfort

We offer several accommodation options for our guests. We have King, Queen and Twin beds, all our bathrooms are private, though not ensuite. The decor in each room pays homage to either an artist or writer of the same time period as our house. The furniture is antique but the mattresses, plumbing and WIFI is modern.

James MacNeill Whistler

A large, sunny room with street view, furnished in Art Nouveau style with Art by Mr. Whistler. It has a Queen bed, ensuite bathroom and a sitting area. It is the perfect place to recover from a day of exploring Vancouver or allowing yourself the joy of catching up on that book, those letters or just daydreaming. After all you are on holiday.

Gustav Klimt

Ideal for Families

Newly refurbished in 2022, with hardwood flooring throughout, the Gustav Klimt Suite, offers family accommodation and sleeps up to 4 people.

The suite includes a king bed which can convert to twins, and a double Murphy bed along with a full private ensuite bathroom with Victorian tub, separate shower, and a private entrance.

It also has a fridge, kettle and a small dining area.

Priced at regular rate for two, plus $30 for each additional person. Family discount applies for children under 18.

Sir Walter Scott

King bed, or twins, private bathroom with the original Victorian cast iron tub, and added shower, just down the hall.

It can be booked in combination with the A.A. Milne Room, our child friendly room, with a single bed, to provide accommodation for three sharing the same bathroom.

Our child friendly room, with a single bed, can be booked with the Sir Walter Scott room to provide accommodation for three sharing the same bathroom.

Robin built this room for his “princess” who now has “princesses” of her own.

Oscar Wilde

“Either that wall paper goes, or I do” it is claimed Oscar said on his death bed in Paris.

The wallpaper is extravagant, but the room is a small but comfortable space at the quieter back of the house, with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a comfortable chair and flip down desk.

Oscar would have been quite comfortable here. Only available in summer season, April 15 to October 15.
