Since 1986, Ashby House has provided a traditional, resident owner operated Bed & Breakfast experience.

Ashby House offers three rooms year round, and a fourth during the Summer.
Discounts apply during the Winter season and for singles, families with young children, returning guests and for stays of 7 days or more.

The 1899 Heritage house is situated in the heart of Vancouver’s West End, three blocks from transit on Robson or Davie Street, and a ten minute walk from the downtown Skytrain, (mysteriously, not in the sky but underground in the city centre) on the edge of Stanley Park.
​
Striving for a balance between comfort, hospitality and convenience Ashby House provides good food, central air conditioning, comfortable beds and the information you need to enjoy your visit to Vancouver.

Remember when life was simpler?
Ashby House Bed and Breakfast was started by Robin and Mary Anne in 1986, and before her death in 2022, they decided Robin would carrying on in the style of a traditional B&B, with resident owner as host along with the world’s best housekeeper, Kelly.
Ashby House was built in 1899, is heritage designated and has been lovingly restored by our family.
We provide comfortable rooms, excellent home cooking and over fifty years of Vancouver knowledge. All of our rooms have private bathrooms, central air conditioning and state of the art fibre-optic wifi.
Step back in time and see what life was like when our city was young. We encourage you to linger over breakfast, share your stories and meet the world.

Breakfast, the way it should be…
Breakfast should be the best time of the day. Linger over our organic coffee or tea, and enjoy the best that our local farmers and producers offer.
We believe in supporting small producers and focus on what is in season or available: organic yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, breads and homemade jams and marmalade are always available. We also cater to gluten intolerant, vegetarian or vegan with due notice.

Take a seat, and relax.
Our front porch or veranda is an outdoor living room and is the perfect place to relax, have a cool drink and watch the world go by.
Or you may choose to read one of our 15,000 books. Our resident Scots Terrier, Caelte, or Loki our orange cat may even keep you company.
